I have just done a national radio interview on Yoga, T’ai Chi, Martial Arts etc. The host and I were blown away by the number of calls we received from Northern Queensland, to Sydney, to Perth. Callers were saying they, their friends or family were interacting with such practices and they just didn’t know where to go for help.
Taboo or To do? is written to address this need for Christians and churches. We are grateful to the English publisher for ensuring that it’s at a level that can work in group, pulpit or individual settings. It allows the reader to make up their own mind after reading information on the background of the practice, a spiritual discernment section and plenty of church case studies. It can be obtained from Christian book shops, however is cheaper online through websites such as Book Depository. It is also available on our Morling website – http://www.morlingcollege.com/shop/.
I was talking to a Pastor the other night who said it has really worked well in a group that was considering these topics. It helped them in their own personal lives but also in their mission to their next door neighbours and the spiritual but not religious.
It was a nice surprise to see it was shortlisted for the Australian Christian Book of the Year.
